Oil Independence

Coal Remains King

The world’s largest reserves of oil are in the Middle East, yet some of these countries are building coal fired power plants.

The rational is simple: Oil can produce huge revenues so why use it to generate electricity when coal can do the job more economically.

Abu Dhabi has announced it will switch to coal fired power plants. Dubai is building four coal fired plants, with a combined rating of 4,000 MW. Egypt also plans on building a coal fired power plant.

EPA To Issue CO2 Emission Rules

The EPA is on the verge of issuing rules and regulations, including Cap & Trade, which will have disastrous consequences for America.

The Supreme Court decision of April 2007 required the EPA to treat CO2 emissions as a pollutant under the Clean Air Act.
